The Verb ‘faire’
The verb ‘faire’ is one of the most frequently-used verbs in the French language. Here, we’ll look at its forms in the present tense.

The verb ‘faire’ is a very important verb in the French language. The forms of ‘faire’, when used on their own, can typically be translated into English with forms of the English verbs ‘to do’ or ‘to make’.
e.g.
L’étudiant fait ses devoirs. |
The student is doing his homework. |
Nous faisons un gâteau. |
We’re making a cake. |
As with many high-frequency verbs, the verb ‘faire’ is irregular, so its conjugations cannot be predicted.
